Samantha Carlin is a passionate entrepreneur with over 15 years of product development experience. She's had a lifelong passion for developing products, submitting her first patent application at the age of 19. Samantha is an artist at heart, and brings an artistic touch to all of her work, understanding that the aesthetics and ergonomics of the design are just as important as the functionality.
Educationally, she holds her BFA and Masters of Product Development from Carnegie Mellon University and her MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management where she focused her studies on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. She has consulted for companies including GSK and Nissan, conducted marketing trials for Comcast Cable, ran her own startup company in the orthopedic space, and led the product development efforts for medical device companies.
In 2017, she was recognized by UBS and Rent The Runway as one of the top 10 female entrepreneurs in the United States for her work on her first startup company Curative Orthopaedics, Inc, a designer and manufacturer of rest, recovery and performance gear.
After getting engaged in 2019, Samantha competed in a pre-wedding weight loss competition with her sister-in-laws, and the idea for Fit4Friends was born. Samantha subsequently launched Carlin Fit LLC to design mobile applications and smart devices to help people lead healthier lives.
